Add volumes to device groups

A device group is a user-defined group that consists of devices that belong to a locally attached array. Control operations can be performed on the group as a whole, or on the individual device pairs in the group. By default, a device can belong to more than one device group.

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select DATA PROTECTION > Device Groups.
  3. Click the Device Groups tab to open the Device Group list view.
  4. Select the device group and click Add Volumes.
  5. From the list of available volumes, select one or more volumes and click Add to Group.
  6. Optional: Remove a previously added volume by selecting it and clicking Remove.
  7. Click OK.
